POSITION AVAILABLE: Safety Coordinator
Reports to the Superintendent of Schools
NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:
As a member of the district administrative leadership team, this stipend scope of work (in conjunction with building administrators) will provide oversight and coordination for school safety protocols and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Overseeing safety procedures and protocols for staff and students throughout the district
• Chairing the District Safety Committee, which includes, but is not limited to, setting the meeting dates/times and the agenda
• Supervising the work of the Questar III Safety Specialist
• coordinating, in conjunction with the Director of Professional Development, training for staff
• Coordinating, in conjunction with the School Resource Officer, emergency (e.g., lockdown) and fire drills
• Developing and maintaining, in conjunction with the School Resource Officer and Questar III Safety Specialist, a reunification plan to be activated in the event of emergency
• Coordinating, in conjunction with Director of Nursing where applicable, the purchase of all safety related services, products and the development of protocols and procedures
• Assisting with the development of the District Safety Plan
• Other safety related duties as assigned by the Superintendent
SALARY: As per APAA Agreement
