APHS NEW HORIZONS CLUB SPORTS EQUIPMENT DRIVE

The New Horizons Club at APHS is hosting a sports equipment drive through the month of May until Memorial Day weekend. The government of the Dominican Republic has initiated a nation-wide sports initiative intended to reduce racial stereotypes of Haitians living in the D.R. All donations will be sent down to our sister school in the Dominican Republic to help facilitate this initiative. The students at our sister school are in a devastating financial situation and have very little means of acquiring sports equipment otherwise. The suggested donation items (used and/or new) are as follows for all ages:
-Soccer Equipment
-Baseball Equipment
-Volleyball Equipment
-Sneakers
There will be donation bins at all the district schools. We hope that our donations will provide enough equipment for the struggling sports teams at our sister school. It is a great way to unload your old equipment uncovered in spring cleaning! If there are any questions, please email 20ryanh@apcsd.org or goodnowj@apcsd.org.
