WARRIOR WAY TALENTS HIGHLIGHTS

Does your child have a passion and talent that embodies the principles of the Warrior Way? If so, we would like to highlight their skills/accomplishments in a brief video compilation that Mr. Anderson will put together to be shown at our final Warrior Way Assembly of the year. MID-POINT OF MARKING PERIOD REMINDER

We are now at the mid-point of the fourth marking period. Please take some time this weekend to sit with your child and review their progress in classes by visiting SchoolTool. There are are still four weeks to go in the marking period and upcoming final exams in several classes for all students. Please help students keep their eye on the prize and motivated for academic success in the coming weeks.

APO – AFTER THE GRADE 8 FAREWELL DANCE ACTIVITY

The NOpiates committee has graciously sponsored an after party event for our 8th grade students after the farewell dance on Friday, June 7 from 9:30-11:30 p.m. Transportation via bus will be provided to students to Crossgates Mall after the event. Forms are due to Mrs. Anne, Thank you!

AMS SPRING CONCERTS WILL BE LIVE-STREAMED

The upcoming AMS Grade 6 Concert (May 30 at 7 p.m.) and Grades 7 & 8 Concert (June 4 at 7 p.m.) will once again be live streamed on YouTube. If you haven’t seen our concerts on YouTube, the video and audio quality is outstanding, thanks to the Averill Park Education Foundation’s generous donation of equipment. This is a great option for family members who cannot attend the concert physically and a recording of the performance will also be available afterwards on our YouTube channel. NYS SCIENCE 8 ASSESSMENT – MAY 30

Day One of the NYS Science 8 Assessment will take place on Thursday, May 30. Day Two of the Science Assessment will take place on Monday, June 3.

APO SPONSORED “AP INVADED!” SCIENCE SUMMER CAMP EXPERIENCE

This summer, Algonquin Middle School will be hosting the first AP Invaded! Science Summer Camp. This week-long, research-focused summer camp will be held July 8-12 from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. Campers will collaborate in groups to research how local invasive species effect the community, play interactive games and visit Grafton State Park to interact with land managers.
