Position Available: Grounds Keeper Position
8 hours per day, 12 months per year
Work assignment covers all buildings within the school district
Salary: Salary in accordance with terms of the CSEA agreement.
Duties:
– Mows, rakes and cuts grass;
– Plants and cares for trees and shrubs;
– Keeps grounds free of litter;
– Removes snow and ice from walks, pathways and steps;
– Helps to maintain baseball diamonds, football fields, running tracks; and other athletic and recreational areas;
– Marks and lays out sports fields;
– Operates and may perform simple maintenance on a variety of equipment such as trucks, tractors, jeeps, mowers, rollers and other ma chinery;
– When not working as a groundskeeper may do other route maintenance or cleaning work.
– Must be able to do all work activities as stated on the Civil Service Job Description
– Must be a team worker and able to work flexible hours
– Willingness and ability to perform cleaning duties throughout the District.
– Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds
– Must be able to work flexible hours
Qualifications:
– One year of experience as a laborer in park or grounds maintenance activities.
– Class B CDL License preferred
