Averill Park Central School District has received national recognition for its work in communications and public relations from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA).
Averill Park won three NSPRA Awards. The District’s communications staff, which is supplied by Questar III BOCES, brought home Golden Achievement awards for its rollout of a new E-Newsletter and the use of electronic media to promote health and safety. The District used video and multimedia tools to educate the community on vaping, emergency response and mental health.
It also won an Honorable Mention award for the AP Highlights E-Newsletter.
According to its website, NSPRA’s Golden Achievement Award “recognizes exemplary work in all aspects of school public relations, communication, marketing and engagement.”
