POSITION AVAILABLE: Teacher Leader (1/2 time position- Grade 2)
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Assigned a full teaching responsibility
• Successful teaching experience
• Strong ability to work with others
• Excellent organizational skills
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Goal-Setting:
• Participate in Leadership Team meetings at the building level.(Meetings will be held outside of the school day)
• Support the implementation of district goals and building level objectives through development of appropriate grade level team actions steps
• Communication:
• Participate in Teacher Leader meetings and trainings (Building Leadership Team)
• Share information/initiatives of the leadership group with grade level team
• Establish agenda and record minutes for team meetings
• Act as liaison between team teachers, counselors, parents and administration regarding student issues
• Coordinate and facilitate parent conferences
• Collaboration:
• Support cross-curricular integration of curriculum and instruction
• Facilitate problem solving and action planning related to student learning and behavior
• Coordinate Students of the Month and quarterly character building events
• Serve as an instructional leader and resource to members of the team
• Informed Discussions and Decision Making:
• Chair middle school grade level team meetings, which will occur twice a month
• Utilize data-based decision making with team members
• Participate in analysis of student performance to identify and design necessary instructional programs changes
REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning and/or Building Administrator
SALARY: Stipend as per APTA Agreement
