Averill Park CSD Superintendent Dr. Franchini, along with Board of Education members Peter Schaefer, Jessica Zweig and Meghan McGarry, attended the New York State School Board Association Convention in Rochester this week.
The state-wide event brings together more than 2,000 leaders in education to discuss current topics of concern to school board members.
This year’s keynote speaker was Robert J. Duffy, who is the President and CEO of the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Duffy was formerly a NY Lieutenant Governor, Rochester Mayor and City of Rochester Chief of Police.
