On behalf of the entire AMS staff, we wish you a happy holiday season and an enjoyable school recess. The month of December has been a fun one here at AMS with our Morning Meeting Holiday Door Decorating Contest, Ugly Sweater competition, Holiday Happenings event and our concerts (with one more to go tonight!) and a fun Computer Science Education Week, as well! There is a lot more fun ahead in January and we look forward to the remainder of the school year with your children. Thank you for your continued support of our school.
AMS NAMED KINDNESS CHALLENGE CHAMPION SCHOOL
The month of November was “Kindness Month” at AMS, with students engaging in social-emotional learning activities focused on spreading kindness and positivity in our school community.
ACTIVE PARENTING WORKSHOP PROGRAM
Are you interested in gaining information on technology, social media, substance abuse, school and social stressors? Active Parenting of Teens workshop is for parents of students in grades 6-9, which provides useful tools to navigate the adolescent years. The workshop takes place on Tuesdays from January 28 to February 25 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Algonquin. If any student needs assistance borrowing black and white dress clothes for one of our school concerts, please reach out to one of our school counselors who can put you in touch with our Music Wardrobe.

Grade 8 Families: Applications for TechValley High School are available in the Counseling Center. All interested families must attend one of TechValley’s information sessions. Please have your child pick up a packet in the Counseling Center.
