Congratulations to our students and staff in the APHS ELA Department for achieving one of our highest-ever passing and mastery rates on the State English Language Arts exam this January!
This exam, which is a NYS graduation requirement, is taken each January by all 11th grade students, as well as accelerated 10th grade students. This year, 95% of our students passed the exam, with an amazing 72% of our students achieving mastery (85% or better).
This speaks volumes to the dedication and hard work of our students and outstanding ELA teachers.
