DAILY LEARNING ACTIVITY ORGANIZER DOCUMENT

As featured on Tuesday’s Morning Announcements, below is a link to a Daily Organizer to help students organize and plan what they will be doing on a given day for their school work. Students and families who find this format useful can jot down tasks to do based on the Team Google Homework Calendar and then also document questions students may have.
Those questions can be answered by having the student visit a teacher’s Access hours, which are also linked to this document. The link will force users to “make a copy,” which will provide them with a blank document to work from.
Simply using the link below will give students a fresh document to work with each day.

THIRD MARKING PERIOD REPORT CARDS

AMS Third Marking Period Report Cards will be available in SchoolTool for parents to view on Wednesday, April 22nd.
For this marking period, report cards will use special Pass and Fail codes instead of numeric grades.
Students will receive one of two possible grades for each class in the third marking period: “Pass-Coronavirus 19” or “Fail-Coronavirus 19.” These will appear in the grade column on the report card as “P-c19” or “F-c19.” This special coding, utilized by both Algonquin and the Averill Park High School.
Students will also receive two comments per class on their report card.
One comment will reflect a grade range that their average was at the time of the school closure on March 16, 2020.
The second comment will reflect the student’s level of engagement in online learning since the school closure. Those comments are:
Student was highly engaged in distance learning activities
Student successfully engaged in distance learning activities
Student demonstrated limited engagement in distance learning activities
Student did not engage in distance learning activities
Thank you for your understanding and support.
