Congratulations to Joseph Milanese and Bryanna Swinson 2020 recipients of the NYS AHPERD High School Leadership Award.
Joe is a dedicated student in PE whether he is in the weight room or playing games in the gymnasium, he gets his classmates motivated to give their best.
He has a 94% GPA and is a member of National Honor Society. He is a 3 year starter on both Varsity Football and Varsity Baseball. Joe is a member of SAAC(Student Athletic Advisory Club) and student government. He enjoys volunteering his time assisting with the WSL carnival, coaching youth players at football camp and assisting in cleaning and sanitizing the schools weight room during the summer.
Joe plans on attending St.John Fisher college in the fall majoring in Finance/Accounting and he will be playing football for the Cardinals.
Bryanna gives 100% in PE she helps her peers in the weight room helping herself and others to get stronger. She has a 97% GPA and she is a member of National Honor Society. She is a five year starter on Varsity Soccer and captain for the past two years, and a four year Varsity Track member.
Bryanna is involved in and President of the Student Athletic Advisory Club and involved in Kelsey’s Promise club. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering as a coach for the kindergarten team and Knights clinic for APYSL . She has helped the boys and Girls club of Troy pack backpacks, clean and sanitize the high schools weight room, pack boxes for operation Christmas, helped WSL K-kids make dog toys for the Humane Society, and worked at Kelsey’s Promise Club 5K, and more.
Bryanna will be attending RPI in the fall majoring in Biomedical engineering where she will be playing soccer for the Engineers.
