KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!

Dear AMS Students and Families:
Thank you for all of your continued efforts during the school closure. We are so incredibly proud of the hard work students are putting into their learning activities each day. We also know that behind each hard working student there are hard working parents that are helping to support and encourage them under less than ideal conditions.
Please remember our goals during the school closure: We want all students to remain connected to our school community and develop their academic skills by completing the learning activities provided.
If your child is struggling with an assignment or seems to need a jump start on a particular subject area, please encourage them to attend that teacher’s Access Hours.
These hours are provided for just this purpose: To provide additional support, answer questions and get further direction/clarification on activities. Our teachers are literally standing by during these times to help your child be successful with their learning.
Click on this link to see teachers’ Access hours: https://bit.ly/3bTkt2S
Finally, we encourage students to take a few minutes each morning to watch or listen to the morning announcements to stay informed and connected to our school. You can view the AMS News YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCa6dAayrQP-IEoHIghV38Lg
Thank you again for all that you continue to do.

I hope to see you all again very soon!

STUDENT HELP NEEDED: GRADE FIVE TO SIX TRANSITION

We are looking for some AMS students to help us by making a very brief (approximately 10 second) video of them sharing advice or saying something inspiring to grade 5 students about the transition to middle school.

If you could please encourage your child to make a brief video statement and share it with Mr. Messia, we would truly appreciate it.

We have had a number of students respond with written comments/advice, but we could certainly benefit from some additional video statements.

This year our fifth to sixth grade transition will be fully virtual and having AMS students share their perspectives and advice will go a long way to build a great connection with our newest students.

Thank you for your help welcoming our future grade six students!
