Averill Park Central School District invites residents to hear from the three candidates running for the Board of Education during a Virtual Meet the Candidates Night on Wednesday, May 27 at 6:30 p.m.
There are three (3) candidates seeking two (2) seats on the Board of Education this year. Each carries a new three-year term beginning July 1, 2020.
Candidates include:
• D.J. Hansen
• Douglas Kelley
• Ann M. Morone
The Meet the Candidates Night will include a question and answer period. To submit a question, email our Communications Specialist at radewitzb@apcsd.org by 5 p.m. on Monday, May 25. Questions should be general and addressed to all candidates. Due to time constraints, all questions may not be answered. The virtual meeting will take place on Zoom. More details on how to attend will follow at a later date.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the School Budget Vote and School Board Election will be done exclusively through absentee ballot. Ballots must be received by the District by 5:00 p.m. on June 9.
