Helen Wicks has worked at Averill Park Central School District for 25 years as a food service worker and will retire this month.
“I wanted to work in a position that would allow me to work the same schedule as my children’s schedule,” she said. “I’ll miss seeing the students every day and watching them mature and grow as they move from grades 6-8.”
Mrs. Wicks plans on spending more time with her family and will watch her grandchildren. She is also looking forward to living life on her own schedule.
