To prepare for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year, the Averill Park Central School District created a School Re-Entry Survey. As the District develops plans for reopening schools, we consider community feedback to be essential, and a total of 1,712 responses were logged.

Late Thursday afternoon we received guidance from the State Education Department regarding the reopening of school buildings in the fall. This voluminous document is 145 pages and will help guide us in developing our final plan for reopening, which must be submitted to the state by July 31. During the first week of August, Governor Cuomo will decide in what capacity schools may reopen in the fall.
