The Averill Park Central School District administration, faculty and staff are busy preparing classrooms, school buses, schedules, lesson plans, and many other things to get ready for the reopening of our buildings.

Throughout the last few weeks of summer, there are some things that our parents and students can be doing to prepare for a school year unlike any other. Over the next few weeks, we will be sending out videos talking about our new normal and how you can get ready for it.

Today, we would like to share some videos about wearing face coverings. In our first video, students and teachers demonstrate how to properly put a mask on and tell us why it is important to wear face coverings. Practice wearing masks the right way to get used to them before coming to school in September.

In our second video, AMS assistant principal, Dr. Rhode, demonstrates all of the ways to NOT wear a mask.

This video is light-hearted, as many of our teachers and administrators are eager to keep our schools fun. We do stress the importance of wearing your face covering properly, though, when you return to school!
