The Averill Park Central School District received another unmodified “clean” audit opinion from the District’s independent audit firm Marvin and Company, P.C. An unmodified opinion is the highest form of opinion that can be given by a certified public accountant. It means the District is following all generally accepted accounting principles and properly disclosing information in the District’s 2019-20 financial statements.
Furthermore, District compliance with federal statues, regulations, and the terms and conditions of federally funded programs was also audited. According to the auditors, the District complied, in all material respects, with the types of compliance requirements that could have a direct and material effect on each of its major federal programs.
