AMS BELL SCHEDULE GOOGLE CALENDARS

To help students who are learning at home we have created Grade Level Bell Schedule Google Calendars. Each student now has access to these Google Calendars that will display a notification on their Chromebook and play a notification sound to remind them when it is 2 minutes before the change of class periods.

The goal behind these calendars is to help students attend the start of their class sessions so they do not miss important directions when a teacher is conducting a Google Meet and to generally remind students that they should be working on a particular subject area as the day progresses.

Parents can subscribe to these Google Calendars by utilizing the links below.

Students can also add their Bell Schedule Calendar to phones or personal devices to receive notifications on those as well.

STUDENT ATTENDANCE

All AMS students are expected to engage in their school program from 7:45am until 2:30pm regardless of if they are in the building or at home.

APPOINTMENTS DURING ONLINE LEARNING DAYS: Parents of students who need to attend routine medical/dental appointments during their day at home should call the AMS Main Office to inform of a late arrival or early release from online learning. When the appointment is finished and the student is ready to return to their online learning, the parent should call the AMS Main Office to inform us that their child is back in attendance.

HYBRID STUDENTS WHO MISS THEIR FULL IN-PERSON DAY: Students who are scheduled to attend an in-person learning day at AMS but are unable to be physically present due to non-Covid symptom illness or other reason will be marked absent from school. Students are, however, expected to keep up with their school work as best as possible, similar to how they would last year. Should there be Google Meets or other activities going on that the student could readily participate in, they are welcome to join those groups, however they will continue to be marked absent for the day. The reason behind this is that there are distinct learning plans for each day for each cohort and it is not possible for a student to seamlessly switch from in-person to online learning.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

REMINDER – EACH STUDENT MUST CHECK IN TO MORNING MEETING EACH DAY

As a reminder, all students must check in to their Morning Meeting Google Meet each school day morning starting at 7:45am.

Regardless of if they are attending in person or virtually, students will be marked tardy should they arrive later than 7:56am.

Students who do not participate in Morning Meeting are marked as absent for the school day.

Please help your child establish a good school morning routine so they can start their day on the right foot.
