  7. Honors Molecular Biology Students...

Honors molecular biology students used Molymod molecular model kits to build models of commonly known compounds seen in biology and everyday life, including glucose, ethanol, carbon dioxide and propane to name a few!

The Molymod kits used in Dr. Panzanaro’s class were obtained through a grant from the American Chemical Society.

Building upon their molecular modeling activity, honors molecular biology students constructed 3-dimensional models of proteins using colored mini-marshmallows (representing amino acids), wire (representing bonds between amino acids), and toothpicks (representing intermolecular forces of attraction between specific amino acids)!
