Even during a pandemic, music goes on!
We are thrilled that four Averill Park High School music students are involved with the Empire State Youth Orchestra (ESYO) ensembles this year. Joining the ESYO is Anthony Pastizzo (Alto Saxophone, Youth Jazz), Ryan Richter (Alto Saxophone, Wind Ensemble), Marissa Mazzacco (Violin, String Orchestra) and David Morelli (Flute, Wind Ensemble).
In order to be accepted, students needed to successfully audition and reach a high level of proficiency. This year, ESYO ensembles are meeting weekly at Proctor’s in Schenectady, rehearsing in a safe environment and manner, and preparing for a virtual concert season.
The first series of concerts are planned for the weeks of December 3 and December 10. More information can be found on the ESYO website.
