Today (Wednesday, December 2) the District was notified that a student at Averill Park High School has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. The individual has not been in the building since prior to the District transitioning to remote learning on November 16.
The Rensselaer County Department of Health is conducting contact tracing. Please remember that we must all work together to help stop the spread of COVID-19. It is important that families continue to read and complete the daily health survey each morning prior to attending school.
While we understand that you would like additional details, we are not permitted by privacy laws to identify students or staff members involved. We have provided as much information as possible.
