Today (Tuesday, Jan. 19) the District was notified that a student at Poestenkill Elementary School, a student at the high school, a staff member at the high school and a staff member at Algonquin Middle School have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. In working with the Rensselaer County Department of Health it has been determined that, due to the last time that the individuals were in their respective buildings, contact tracing is not required for these cases.
While we understand that you might like additional details, due to privacy laws we cannot release any identifiable information about the individuals or affected students.
