Today (Friday, Jan. 22) the District was notified that three high school students, two students at Algonquin Middle School and a student at West Sand Lake Elementary School have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. Contact tracing is not required by the Rensselaer County Department of Health for any of these cases, as all are either 100% virtual students or they have been learning remotely since December.
While we understand that you might like additional details, due to privacy laws we cannot release any identifiable information about the individuals or affected students.
