  7. Virtual Warriors Program Helps...

Algonquin Middle School teachers Beth Magill, Jennifer Doyle and Kathy Slyer have taken on additional responsibilities beyond teaching their regular classes this year.

The trio are assisting AMS with its new “Virtual Warriors” program, which helps 100% remote students who may be struggling with learning in their new virtual setting this year.

Students attend a Google Meet with one of the three teachers and work on developing their executive functioning skills and complete assignments in a structured, virtual study hall every other day. Virtual Warriors can graduate out of the program by demonstrating greater assignment completion.

Teacher Sabrina Manna will be joining the group in April to assist in making sure that every student in Algonquin Middle School reaches their full potential.
