  7. Students Participate in Read...

West Sand Lake Elementary School participated in READ ACROSS AMERICA DAY on Tuesday, March 2. The day was marked by getting cozy, reading books in PJs or in book character costumes. Thanks to the generosity of the WSLE PTA, through the READ Program, every student received a book to keep.

Additionally, the in-person and virtual 4th graders at WSLE have been listening to “Escape From Mr. Lemoncello’s Library” by Chris Grabenstein in their classes.

For READ ACROSS AMERICA DAY, the 4th grade students enjoyed connecting with author Chris Grabenstein for a virtual visit! Mr. Grabenstein is an enthusiastic author of 66 books, and counting! Students were given the opportunity to engage with him during a live Q and A. Furthermore, every 4th grader received a copy of Chris Grabenstein & James Patterson’s novel “I FUNNY” through the generosity of WSLE PTA’s READ Program. Later this spring, 4th graders at MHSL and PES will enjoy virtual visits with Mr. Grabenstein, too! For more information about author Chris Grabenstein explore https://chrisgrabenstein.com/
