  7. Change to Daily Health...

Averill Park CSD Community,

With the change to the New York State Department of Health travel guidelines, we have updated a question in our daily health screening survey. Beginning Monday, March 15, the daily survey will ask if you have traveled to a non-contiguous state in the past 14 days. It will note that if you have been fully vaccinated (minimum two weeks since your last dose); AND it has been within 90 days since receiving your last dose; OR have been previously diagnosed with COVID-19, have recovered and are asymptomatic, you may forego quarantine.

We will continue to monitor data related to the pandemic on a daily basis and will adjust our guidelines as necessary. Please continue to monitor for symptoms of COVID-19, which include fever, cough, fatigue, headache, body ache, shortness of breath, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, runny or stuffy nose, chills, sore throat, and new loss of taste and/or smell.

If anyone experiences these symptoms, they should immediately self-isolate and contact the school district, the Rensselaer County Department of Health and their primary health care provider to determine if they require a COVID-19 test.
