  7. Theodore Hart Wins AMS...

This year the Scripps National Spelling Bee developed an online testing platform, allowing school districts to host spelling bees whether students are learning in-person or remotely in their homes. Algonquin Middle School held its first-ever Virtual Spelling Bee recently and sixth grade student Theodore Hart was crowned the champion!

Theodore is the younger brother of three-time champion Sam Hart.

This year’s runner-up is eighth grader Rachel Strickland, followed by sixth grader Gianna Scott in third place. Theodore will now move on to participate in the Times Union Regional Spelling Bee on March 24.

Thank you to our parent organization for providing the wonderful prizes for our top spellers and thank you to everyone who participated this year!
