BUILDER’S CLUB DECADES THEME WEEK – MARCH 29-APRIL 1

As part of this dress down week, students are encouraged to assist the Builder’s Club effort to support homeless relief efforts in Troy by donating canned Tuna, Chicken or Beef Stew.

STUDENTS ENCOURAGED TO WEAR LAYERS

As the seasons change students will be spending more time outdoors, including eating outside in our picnic area on dry weather days.

Students are encouraged to wear layers and to be prepared for the seasonably cool temperatures that can accompany the months of March and April.

EARTH DAY 2021 SHOWCASE

NYS Senator Daphne Jordan’s office is sponsoring an Earth Day 2021 Showcase. Students can submit essays, poetry or artwork with the theme of “Trash is much more than garbage. How can you re-imagine it for a better future?” All submissions must be made electronically by 4/19/21 to jordan.nysenate.gov.

YEARBOOK ORDERS

2021 Algonquin Yearbook! The AMS Yearbook can now be ordered online with Lifetouch. Please place your order by April 15, 2021. There will not be extra yearbooks ordered so if you child would like one, it needs to be ordered online.
**Yearbook pictures for virtual students**: Lifetouch and Shutterfly are offering another option for parents of virtual students to have their child’s picture in the yearbook. Please see the attached flier from Lifetouch to see how it works. This would need to be done by April 15th to have the photo included in this year’s yearbook.

8TH GRADE BABY PICTURES

Would you like your 8th graders baby picture to be included in the 2020/2021 Algonquin yearbook? It is time to send those adorable baby pictures in. Pictures need to be sent digitally in .jpeg format. If they are not in this format, they cannot be used. Please send your photo to
algonquinyearbook@apcsd.org. Please include your child’s name in the subject line of the email. Pictures will be due by March 30, 2021.

ATTENTION 100% VIRTUAL STUDENTS AND FAMILIES

As part of our yearbook each year we include “candid shots” of students working in classrooms. We don’t want to miss our virtual students with this part of the yearbook and encourage our virtual families to send in photos of students working at home. All students need to do is log in to Sora using their AP Google account! Remember, Sora is also a free app they can use on their phone.
