  7. Updates to June 2021...

Dear APHS students, parents and guardians,

In follow-up to the email sent out by the District yesterday, I wanted to share the new configuration for the end of the year calendar, as it pertains to the high school. Here is a link to the new calendar: 2020-21 district calendar

For the week of June 13th:

  • Monday, June 14th will be regular instruction for all students.
  • Tuesday, June 15th will be regular instruction for all students.
  • Wednesday, June 16th will be regular instruction for all students.
  • Thursday, June 17th will be the ELA Regents Exam. All students NOT taking the ELA Regents WILL STILL report for regular instruction.
  • Friday, June 18th will be regular instruction for all students.

For the week of June 20th:

  • Monday, June 21st will be a Staff Development Day. There will be no student instruction at the high school.
  • Tuesday, June 22nd will be the Living Environment Regents Exam. *Only those students taking this exam will report.
  • Wednesday, June 23rd will be the Algebra I Regents Exam. *Only those students taking this exam will report.
  • Thursday, June 24th will be the Earth Science Regents Exam. *Only those students taking this exam will report.
  • Friday, June 25th will be the Regents Rating Day. There will be no student instruction at the high school.

Please note that the last day of regular instruction at the high school will be Friday, June 18th. *This said, students who are not meeting with success in their courses may be required to attend school for remediation between June 22nd and June 24th. Your teacher and/or guidance counselor will contact you should that be necessary.

Because of these adjustments, we have amended the AA/BB Rotation Calendar for the last week of June. Here is a link to that updated information.

Finally, please remember that we are offering the above Regents exams to students who wish to take them, but that they are not required for graduation. All students who pass the course associated with these exams will be exempt. If a student is interested in taking one of these exams, a parent or guardian should complete the a Google Form before Friday, May 14th.

As always, if you have any questions, please contact the HS Office at 674-7002.
