Every year, the APHS New Horizons Club, now a chapter of the APHS International Club, raises money and supplies to aid our sister school in the Dominican Republic through a variety of fundraisers and donations. However, due to the pandemic, many fundraisers have not been possible, despite a dire need.
The New Horizons school is an integrated school, educating Haitian and Dominican Republican children alike. For many students, the school provides crucial, and often otherwise unavailable, supplies and services, such as food, shoes, and medical support. The school is heavily dependent on outside funding funding which has taken a big hit due to the ongoing pandemic. As a result, the New Horizons Club needs help more than ever before.
