  7. Annual Budget Vote on...

On Tuesday, May 18, Averill Park Central School District residents will vote on a spending plan for the 2021-2022 school year that addresses the educational and social-emotional challenges our students face as we look to move beyond the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2021-22 budget includes a 0.95% tax levy increase, which is below the tax levy limit of 1.9% allowed this year under the state’s statutory property tax cap limit.

This year’s vote will be in-person and will take place in the Auxiliary Gymnasium at the High School from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Absentee ballots are available and can be obtained at the District Office, located at Averill Park High School, 146 Gettle Road in Averill Park. Please call ahead to schedule a pick-up appointment.

In addition to the budget, voters will elect two members of the Board of Education, and will decide on a bus and equipment purchase proposition.
