End of School Year (ESY) students held their third annual Film Fest for charity recently, raising funds for Averill Park community members who were affected by the severe flooding in July.
Students voted on which movies to show, landing on Monsters University, Abominable, Disney’s Descendants, and Spirit. They also voted on the charity that the funds would be donated to.
In total, roughly 40 people participated and $256 has been raised so far, though donations are still coming in. Film fest was started by Zach, who will graduate this year, making this his last film festival. Great job everyone!
