Jessica Hernandez is a new Special Education teacher at Miller Hill-Sand Lake Elementary School.
Ms. Hernandez attended Nazareth College and, most recently, held three long-term substitute positions at Castleton Elementary School in the Schodack Central School District.
“I originally went to school for Occupational Therapy; however, I loved being in a school setting so much, and knew that working with kids was my passion, so that is when I decided to change my major to Education. I am so happy I did,” she said. “I love the energy and school activities that include everyone (spirit days, morning assemblies, etc.). I also love how friendly and helpful other teachers are.”
Fun Fact! Ms. Hernandez studied abroad in Valencia, Spain during her junior year of college. She is fluent in Spanish.
