UPCOMING WE ARE WARRIORS EVENT – THURS 9/30/21

On Thursday, September 30, students are invited to stay after school for our We Are Warriors After School Sports Event. Typically this event will include multiple sports being played on the same afternoon, similar to a Modified Athletics homecoming type of event. This year, due to transportation limitations, we will have the Modified Football Game as our exclusive event for the afternoon. Below is a timeline of what students need to do to participate.

Step 1: Register for the event by completing the Google Form by Wednesday, September 29, during Morning Meeting.

Step 2: Attend the event, based on the following details:
2:40-3:30 – Stay after with a teacher – Students must make arrangements with a teacher in advance and plan to stay with that teacher for that time.
3:30-4:00 – All students report to the Recess Area where snacks and drinks will be for sale by the APO. Students are encouraged to bring a few dollars to buy snacks and drinks. The basketball court will be open and students can enjoy time with friends at the picnic tables.
4:00-5:15 – Cheer AP on to victory!
5:15 – Parents should arrive to pick up their child from the event
Families are welcome to attend this event, as well.
Additional information will be shared with students in a video later this week. We are glad to have this fun event return for the 2021-22 school year.

VIRTUAL WARRIOR WAY ASSEMBLY

Coming up on Friday, October 1, we will have our first Warrior Way Assembly of the year. This first assembly will be virtual, with our hope being to have grade level assemblies in-person at some point later in the year. At our Warrior Way Assemblies the school engages in presentations, discussions and celebrations of our three guiding character education principles of Respect, Effort and Action. These assemblies are intended to be fun and thought provoking as well. Following the assembly we will share some discussion questions that you can use after the assembly to discuss it with your child. We appreciate your support of our school’s efforts to create a positive school learning environment for all our community members.

ODYSSEY OF THE MIND

Odyssey of the Mind is a creative, problem solving, teamwork activity. Students work in teams of 6 or 7 students, within their age bracket, to make their solution to a problem.
