On Tuesday, October 12, residents of the Averill Park Central School District will vote on a Capital Project to improve critical safety needs and building condition deficiencies across the district. Voting will take place at Averill Park High School from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the Auxiliary Gymnasium.
If approved by voters, the $28.5 million project would provide improvements at every school building along with the transportation building. This referendum is drastically scaled back from an original two-proposition project that was valued at $45.5 million and voted down by the community.
