Every department in the Averill Park Central School District has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, including food service.

Unfortunately, the food service industry is experiencing supply chain issues throughout the country, and it is impacting our school cafeterias. Manufacturers are not producing certain items, many products are on backorder, and limits are being placed on the quantity that can be ordered from certain suppliers.

These supply chain issues are resulting in last-minute changes to our school menus. We realize that students become excited, and even circle dates on calendars, when popular food choices will be served.

While our staff is doing their best to be creative and deliver healthy, fun and tasty meals to our students each day, the choices may not reflect what is on the breakfast and lunch menus that are produced prior to the beginning of each month. We will do our best to notify families and students ahead of time if the main entree is changed.
