Miller Hill-Sand Lake Elementary School students and faculty are very excited to begin an elementary Student Council this year.
With a great interest in serving as representatives for their homerooms, 4th and 5th grade candidates were ready to read their speeches to their homerooms this week. Voting will take place on Tuesday, November 2, when each of the 4th and 5th grade homerooms will choose a representative for the school council.
Thank you to all candidates for taking a jump into our election process. Each speech was well written and filled with many great character traits that we are proud of at Miller Hill-Sand Lake Elementary.
The MHSL Student Council will meet monthly before school with the advisorship of Janine Gatus, Tara Kim Russell, and Sally McKenna. With this great opportunity for students to be a voice in the school community, Principal Sibson will also join to hear ideas on how we can continue to serve our community and build our MHSL relationships with students and their families.
