Kimberly Culnan has spent her entire teaching career in the Averill Park Central School District. After 33 years, she retires on Friday, November 12.
“I wanted to be a teacher since the second grade,” she said. “I had an absolutely wonderful teacher who not only made learning fun, but inspired me to become one myself.”
Mrs. Culnan has many fond memories of her years spent in Averill Park, however, the generations of families that she has had the privilege of teaching remain closes to her heart.
“I will definitely miss my devoted colleagues, and of course those little smiling faces that would great me each day,” she said.
In retirement, Mrs. Culnan hopes to do a lot of travel and self-care.
