Mr. Smith’s Current Events class took a field trip to the Pittstown Volunteer Emergency Station.
As part of an independent study project on the issues faced by First Responders, a group of students helped organize the trip. They met with paid and volunteer EMT’s and Paramedics, toured the station, learned about career options and the necessary education and training, and discussed current events issues related to the field such as the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the current supply chain crisis.
