On Friday, January 7, the Averill Park Central School District was notified that seven students and at Averill Park High School, two students and two staff members at Algonquin Middle School, two students and one staff member at Miller Hill-Sand Lake Elementary School, one student at Poestenkill Elementary School, three students at West Sand Lake Elementary School, and one staff member in the Transportation Department have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. School-based contact tracing has been completed and all those affected have been notified.
