On Tuesday, January 11, the Averill Park Central School District was notified that six students at Averill Park High School, two students and two staff members at Algonquin Middle School, two students at Miller Hill-Sand Lake Elementary School, three students and one staff member at Poestenkill Elementary School, two students at West Sand Lake Elementary School, and one staff member in the Transportation Department have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. School-based contact tracing has been completed and all those affected have been notified.
