MARKING PERIOD TWO ENDS ON THURS. JAN. 27

The second marking period will conclude on Thursday, January 27th. Report cards will be mailed home on approximately February 4th.

AFTER SCHOOL WINTER CARNIVAL – WEDS. FEB. 2 – PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

On Wednesday, February 2nd (Snow Date: Thursday, February 3rd), AMS will hold an outdoor winter carnival event for students from 3:30-5:00pm.

The event will include an outdoor dance with a DJ, outdoor recess style games such as kickball and basketball, snacks for sale by the APO and hot chocolate for sale by the Student Council, craft activity, a snowperson competition, among other activities.

We are looking for parent volunteer chaperones to help support this event.

KN95 MASKS AVAILABLE FOR STUDENTS

The District has received a supply of adult sized KN95 masks for use by students and staff.
We will have these available to students and staff for as long as our supply lasts.
Students may stop by the Counseling Center to pick one up.

GRADE 8 FAMILIES: TECH VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION

Are you interested in hands-on project based learning? If so, Tech Valley might be the school for you! Tech Valley is a small school that offers a unique STEM focused high school experience. If you are interested in applying, please reach out to Mrs. Baker for information on how to apply. Students are selected through a lottery system. Pleasure Read Book Club Opportunity:
The first Pleasure Read Book Club meeting of the year will be on Thursday, January 20th at 3:30 on Google Meet. Students need to email Mrs. Ekstrom (ekstromr@apcsd.org) to sign up or stop by the library. Please email Mrs. Ekstrom with any questions.
There will be two more meetings: one in February and one in March.

Poestenkill Public Library Survey:
The Strategic Planning Committee of the Poestenkill Library has created a brief community survey. If you live in Poestenkill, they would appreciate your honest feedback. This is an opportunity to share your thoughts not just about the Library, but also about the town in order to help us better meet the needs of the community. If you prefer a paper survey, copies are available in the Library. Survey deadline: January 31.
