During a Board of Education meeting on Monday, March 28, the Board granted tenure to Jessica Malone.
Mrs. Malone has been working as an ENL teacher at West Sand Lake Elementary School for five years.
“I had some amazing teachers who always went above and beyond supporting me. I am still in contact with some of my teachers and they are the ones who inspired me to go into education,” she said, adding that her favorite parts of the job are “the connections I have with my students and their families. They teach me just as much as I teach them.”
Fun Fact! Mrs. Malone traveled with Ringling Brothers as their traveling teacher. She lived on a train while traveling across the country and met Mr. Malone, who played the trombone for the Circus. They have been married for 17 years!
