WE ARE WARRIORS AFTER SCHOOL SPORTS EVENT – THURS 4/28

On Thursday, April 28, AMS will be hosting our Spring We Are Warriors After School Sports Event. We are anticipating a Modified Baseball and Modified Softball to be played in the back fields. Participating spectator students should have registered by today, completing a Google Form, which was emailed earlier in the week. From 2:40-3:30 students are to stay with teachers to work on homework. From 3:30-4:00 students will enjoy the Recess Area where the AMS Builders Club will be selling popcorn and the Student Council will be selling ice cream. Then from 4:00-5:15 students will cheer AP onto victory. All students should have a ride home ready from 5:15pm or families are invited to come to the back fields to enjoy the festivities as well. We are looking forward to a fun afternoon on Thursday. Thank you.

APO – STAFF APPRECIATION BREAKFAST – WEDS. MAY 4

Help us thank the amazing teachers and staff at the Algonquin Middle School! The appreciation breakfast will be held on Wednesday, May 4 in the AMS cafeteria from 6:30-8:00 am. We are asking for donations of food (home-made or store bought), drinks, tableware, and gift cards for a teacher raffle. We will also need volunteers to help with set-up, serving, and clean-up. Set-up will be on Tuesday, May 3 from 3:30-5:30pm. Volunteers helping with serving during breakfast should arrive by 6:15am. Students are welcome to help their parents serve the staff. Clean-up will occur after the event from 8:00-9:00am. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. We can’t do it without your help!

Gift cards and tableware (as well as any food/drink items that will keep) can be brought to the front office on Tuesday. All other food/drink items should be brought to the side cafeteria door on the morning of the breakfast between 6:00 and 6:15am. Hot items should be cooked and ready to serve (crockpots work best). We have about 80-90 teachers and staff at AMS to thank. Please label any items that will need to be returned to you. You can pick them up later in the day by the front office.
