PARENT CHAPERONES NEEDED

Help us send our eighth grade class off with an Evening Under the Stars! This event is enjoyed by eighth grade students but parents of sixth and seventh graders are strongly encouraged to chaperone because as we all know, eighth grade parents are not always welcomed by their children.

GIRLS SCOUTS – FAUX FRIDGE UNVEILING – BEFORE GRADE 6 CONCERT

AMS students and Girl Scouts Anna Fedorowicz, Riley O’Connell and Zoe Smith have been hard at work building a “faux fridge” collection box to support the AMS Food Pantry Program.
With this wooden fake refrigerator they have designed and built, students, staff and community members will be able to donate shelf-stable food items that can be distributed to students in need at our school.
Anna, Riley and Zoe will be unveiling their faux fridge in the Main Foyer prior to the Grade 6 Concert on Thursday. The Girl Scouts will also be selling cookies at that time.
Please consider stopping by the unveiling of the faux fridge and donating a shelf stable item.
Thank you to Anna, Riley and Zoe for their hard work on this great project!

AMS SERVES – REGIONAL FOOD BANK FARM FIELD TRIPS

As a reminder, students will be participating in our upcoming AMS Serves field trips to the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York Farm. Below are the dates for the field trips for grades 6 & 7.
Please note that Grades 6 and 7 will also be making a stop at Thacher Park after visiting the Food Bank Farm. As a result, Grades 6 & 7 will be returning to AMS at approximately 2:00pm.
