On Friday, May 27, Poestenkill Elementary School held its annual service day and its first-ever Walk for Water!
The students simulated the hard work that is involved for communities around the world to retrieve water for their families by walking nearly a mile, picking up water bottles at the half-way point, and bringing it back to the school.
Water will be donated to local charities and families donated money to help The Water Project.
