Averill Park CSD won two awards from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) for excellence in school communications.
“The District strives to connect with our community members in a variety of different ways, and in a transparent manner. We work hard to ensure that families and staff members are kept up-to-date with accurate information,” Superintendent Dr. James Franchini said.
Professional judges evaluated more than 1,000 submissions from school districts nationwide.
Entries were judged within an entry category against those from organizations of a similar type and size. Each entry was judged on the overall excellence of the entry as well as its quality compared to other entries in the category. The top award in each category is the Award of Excellence. Awards of Merit followed by Honorable Mentions are also given in each category.
