APHS French students are continuing the 10-year tradition of exchanging pen pal letters (written in French and English) with students from two high schools in France!
In 2012, Mr. Brown and Mme. Mondon began sending letters back-and-forth between APHS and the Lycée de la Venise Verte in Niort. APHS continues to send letters to students in Mme. Mondon’s new school, Lycée Rabelais in St. Brieuc, Brittany, as well as to students now taught by Mme. Mazereau at the original school.
In a world of social media and instant communication, waiting several weeks to receive letters from French friends teaches patience. Receiving personal messages and small tokens of friendship is the reward.
