  7. Elementary Students Participate in...

For many students and families the national holiday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is a day off from school. However, many in our AP community took Dr. King’s legacy to heart and joined our three elementary schools’ PTAs in a Day of Service on Monday, January 16!

Students and families from across Miller Hill-Sand Lake, Poestenkill and West Sand Lake Elementary Schools met at MHSL and completed service projects to be donated to local shelters and organizations to assist those in need. Wellness kits for hospitalized children, people in shelters and even animals in rescue and humane shelters are some of the projects completed.

A huge thank you goes out to our three PTAs for leading this effort, and to all those who gave some time from their day off in the service of others. Dr. King once stated, “Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve. You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love.”

Thank you for the greatness and compassion of our volunteers.
