Today (February 6), the water filtration system ruptured at Averill Park High School. While the water system is being flushed and tested, bottled water will be used for drinking and cooking as a safety precaution. Water fountains have been covered and bottled water stations have been set up. The District is working with Rensselaer County Department of Health (DOH) and the water system will not be used for consumption without approval from the County DOH.
